1st Build Last year- $2500
2nd Build This year- $1850
3rd Build This year- $1100

Knowing that the first 2 builds are only worth what the 3rd one was built for now.. Priceless.

*Thermaltake TR2 430W Power Supply
*Intel E2160
*2GB OCZ Plat XTC Rev2 DDR2-6400
*Sapphire X1950GT
*Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
*NZXT Apollo Gaming Case

$632 Canadian (before the dollar went super high) including shipping and taxes

PLUS a $40 OCZ mail-in-rebate, which has recently been confirmed, so the absolute total came to:

$592

I used my old 250GB hdd and dvd-writer and presto, complete, uber cheap system

I am now selling the entire system for a cool $650 a month later lol

I'll try and remember the prices I actually paid for my stuff:
prices are in $AU
RAM: $300
CPU: $300
video card: $480
motherboard: $260
sound card: $195
wireless card: $80
antenna: $50
3x750Gb hard drives: $300 each ($900)
1x320GB drive: $130
WD 74GB Raptor: $200
PSU: $185
DVD burner: $50
case: $350
radiator: $200
fans: $60
waterblock: $90
pump: $150
monitor: $425
keyboard: $100
mouse: $80
HR-03 plus: $60
HR-05 SLI: $30
speakers: $400
headphones: $150

so in total, I would have paid roughly: $5225 (and that is money I worked for)
and that's only the parts that I'm actually using right now in my main rig
