How to fix my 5.1 surround speacker to work with my computer?

Right click the volumn icon in your system tray. Select "Adjust audio properties". Select "advanced" in the speaker settings. Click "down" arrow and select your speaker system in the drop-down menu.

my onboard sound card is Sound Blaster Live! ADVANCED MB. so can i use this to work with my 5.1 surround speakers ?

Woot REady for this. Plug the black ended wire into the green hole. Thats what i did lol and all 5 of my speakers worked.

hmmmmm..... then how about the green wire and the orange wire ? no need to plug or ?

b4, i got it working, i had 1 plug out, every time i touched the case, my sub would pop, so if jayare012 suggestion works, try pluging the unused plugs into the mic hole.
but it sounds like the exact same problem i had
