What will this system be used for?

I would change the PSU to either the Corsair 520HX or the Xclio GreatPower 550. I would go with the Tuniq Tower 120 from svc.com. If you are not going to go SLI (which isnt worth it) I would get the Gigabyte DS3R motherboard. And for RAM get Cruicial Ballistix or Gskill ddr2 800.

Why go with the P-ATA HD? I would just get a S-ATA HD, as P-ATA (more commonly known as IDE) is ugly, slow and out of date technology compared to S-ATA.

Ahh I didnt know P-ATA was ide i figured it was still sata. Thanks for pointin that out ill change that. Im sticking with an SLI motherboard because i dont want to have to buy a new one down the road when I want to start using it. I live in Canada so I can't get that ram otherwise id be all over that deal. I will probably order everything and wait for sunday to buy the Q6600.

do you really need a 8800GTX? i'd step down to a 320MB unless you are running a HUGE resolution

i'd either grab a Gigabyte DS3R or a MSI P6N Platinum mobo

This is to run Maya and After Effects. So it will be put through some long heavy render sessions. So yes I need the 8800 GTX. It appears to be the best card out there excluding the workstation Quadro FX cards which are rediculously expensive. Those were ebay prices heres my total so far at tigerdirect. Please let me know if you have seen significantly better deals somewhere else.

Why is eveyrone ordering the tuniq tower 120 at svc.com? its only 5 dollars cheaper compared to newegg and doesn't have neweggs warranty policies and stuff. Not to mention if hes going to order the rest of his parts from newegg, he might as well just get it from newegg. I plan too...
