How do I clean my mouse?

My mouse feels kind of dirty so anyone have any idea on how I should clean my mouse?

Is it a ball mouse? If so, you should maybe think about getting an optical / laser mouse, as they require much less cleaning and are very cheap now... Otherwise take out the ball, and wipe it with a damp cloth, then clean the rollers in the bottom.

If its a laser mouse, all you can really do is clean the bottom with a damp cloth or a pc cleaning wipe.

I have an optical mouse*

And The top of it feels dirty, kind of oily

And I should unplug the mouse when I do this ?

hmmm...

Best thing to do would probably just be to wipe it with a damp cloth, possibly with some kinda cleaning solution, then dry it off with a towel. Or even take it apart and give each part a good clean just for extra cleanliness

Should be able to clean with a damp (water) cloth. After you mouse is clean make sure you wash your hands a few times a day.

Rubbing alcohol + kleenex. Make sure you dont get any alcohol on any circuitry though lol. Make sure your hands are clean before using the mouse, dont eat oily foods at yoru computer like chips etc..
