How can you tell??

How can I tell that my PSU works, I just got it in the mail, and is there a way for me to plug my case fans into it and check?

google search "paper clip test" I've never done it myself but i hear thats the way to do it.

Hey thanks man, I googled it and tested it, and my PSU works, plugged it into my Antec 900 and the fans are brilliant. Apparently "paper clip test" is where I plug a paper clip into the green wire socket, and into another one, left or right, then plug in my PSU's power. Thanks again.

What psu is it, and are the cables long enough to reach everything going behind the board? I'm somewhat in the market for a new PSU just because i want a modular one for better cable management.
