Default Houston, we have lift-off!

As of 6:30am this morning, my first build is officially running Windows 7!

Wow, what an exhilarating moment. Sure, it took 80% longer than I thought, and I almost pulled all of my hair out at points, but being able to look at that start-up screen and say, "I made that!" is just awesome. Now on to the overclocking lol.

Special thanks to Slaymate and Sean W for pushing me towards building something new instead of trying to make my Alienware (now my daughter's property) run better. And thanks to all of you for the help! I couldn't have done it without you.

no worries my friend!

congratulations on your new creation, it will smoke ANYTHING you can possibly think about throwing at it, with a smile on its face.

now go to the overclocking section and run all the benchmark threads we have ( pretty much all the threads that start with " the offical techist.com bla bla bla bla bla ) and run the benchmarks now, then over-clock, get everything cherry and run the benchmarks again so you can see what a big difference over-clocking makes. but be careful, this becomes addicting and expensive haha.

but most important of all have fun!

again, congratulations!
