Well, my gf is looking for a PC right now. Her father plans to get her a desktop most likely today. I saw this deal here on woot... Should I go for it? It's a pretty good price for the PC I'd say. I'm sure I could build it a little cheaper, but that's not really an option. What do you think? It's $599.99 on woot.com.

Features:

* Intel® Core 2 Q6600 2.4GHz Quad Core Processor
* 3072MB PC2-5300 RAM installed (two 1024MB and two 512MB modules)
* 500GB 7200 RPM SATA II hard drive
* DVD ±RW 18X multi-format dual layer drive
* NVIDIA GeForce® 8500GT 256MB with DVI and VGA
* 15-in-1 media card reader
* Integrated 8-Channel (7.1) High Definition Audio
* 56K ITU V.92 ready Fax/Modem
* Microsoft Vista Home Premium Installed

If it's not for gaming, I'd say that's a pretty nice deal. It would make for a great multi-tasking, work, media, and editing PC.

Alright cool just seeing what a few others might think. It's not for gaming. It's mainly school work and possibly a game here or there nothing too fancy.

Even if it does later become a gaming computer it wouldn't be to bad since it has a pci-e. (at least I assume it does since it has a 8500gt).

Thats actually a pretty nice machine for that price.

q6600 = 200
dvd burner = 40
case = 40ish
memory = 40ish
500gb hdd = 60
vista home premium = 80
cheapy mobo = 50
8500 = 60
-------------------------
thats 550 right there, and it comes tested and warrantied. So ya, thats not a bad deal at all.
