I'd say for free go for it, and if you got the cards for 80 bucks each might as well test them out. If you decide you need more cooling then look into it, also you might actually be able to sell both of the 8600's and pick up a single 8800 for improved graphics, or just keep them and hold out til the new cards come out next year.
 
Why not get the Q6600 over the E6750? But then again, its just me. Hehe, I like my Q6600 despite the troubles I have with its temperature. Grrr.... Still not resolved. So I reverted it to stock and running at 44* idle. Each core are at 50*~55* idle. Load temps goes as high as 60~65 for CPU and 75~80 for each core :(

ouch, whats your room temp? do you have Mx-1 or Mx-2?
