yes i remember hearing this too, i thought was to do with amd cpus having the built in north bridge (mem controller). i remember that mhz would get you better performance than tight timings for intel cpus and other way round for amd.

i don't think it was, this is why gskill HZ were great choice because their ability to overclock to high speeds.

Wow you American's are lucky. Sure you have to deal with high gas prices and a certain president, but still, your computer parts are cheap! $90 for 4GB of RAM is impossible.

^^Check out ncix.com, its where i get my computer hardware, prices are pretty close to newegg (one of Americans best online stores)
