its all i can figured out right now
what else do i need to build this?

1. processor
2. motherboard
3. memory
4. monitor
5. PSU
6. cooling fan
7. video card

if its way over my budget
i would take quad core advices still to make this happens

my intentions just for editing movies from my sony hdr hc1 ,
photoshop
and little playing games , but it doesnt mean i need like very detail resolution or hardcore gaming.

thanks

hi, do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse etc?

i7 is quad-core

will you be using this for gaming or general use?

yes i need a monitor too but set my eyes on samsung 24" for $224 on ebay.
keyboard and mouse is optional , its not really big deal

If you want a higher graphics card than the gtx 260, try a 280 at $265, although you might want some cooling blocks for it as it gets a little warm, but its optional.

As for the cooling fan, your cpu should come with a heat sink and fan, and if you aren't overclocking then you probably won't need one. If you do get one, then get a water cooling system.

You might want to just buy a stock keyboard/mouse. Gaming keyboards/mice are around $60-80.

Here is a $10 keyboard that will do fine:
Newegg.com - Linkworld LK1300E-PS2- C22 Black 105 Normal Keys PS/2 Wired Slim Keyboard - Keyboards

And a $12 laser mouse:
Newegg.com - GEAR HEAD LM6000U Black 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 1600 dpi Mouse - Mouse

Scratch the 900 Case.. It may be nice at first, but You'll outgrow it quickly. Especially if you want a New Nvidia Card. It'll be like shoe-horning that darn thing in there. TRUST me. A single 4870 is just enough for this case.

Look into the Cooler Master or Lian Li cases.. Bigger and more room for the future.

Like this one:

the original P6T is good, i personally do not like the v2 mainly because of the crappy layout. the board i linked to has a very good layout.

if someone can make a list all the components for me to buy....
i would really appreaciate it...

well i have decided buying refurbished from dell
Dell XPS 435 MT

-- Studio XPS Desktop - 435 Mini Tower Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium

-- Studio XPS Desktop - 435 Mini Tower
-- 640 GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
-- 16X DVD +/- RW w/dbl layer write capability
-- 125V Power Cord
-- Thermal MiniTower
-- 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz (4 DIMMs)
-- Processor: Intel Core i7-920 Processor (8MB L3 Cache, 1MB L2 Cache, 2.66GHz)
-- Dell 19 in 1 Media Card Reader
-- 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850

for $670 including tax and shipping.

now the question is i need more RAM on that...
and i believe its just 350W PSU
need to upgrade that

can anyone point me out the compatible memory and PSU ?
thanks
