well whats the max i can upgrade the proccesor? 1.4 ghz celoron?

hey i practically live on halo pc, and here are some suggestions:

Halo pc requires a
733mhz cpu
256mb of ram
32mb of video
dx9b

ive run it smoothly (low settings on)

666mhz (lol)
128mb
32mb video
dx 9b

but to run smoothly you need a

1.4ghz
512mb
64mb video
latest dx

for 100 you can upgrade to a athlon xp 2200+, 512mb of ram, and a psu that can power it up. here is a list it costs about 150 total

Not the one this kid can afford.... $200? Please... Buy a console, get some friends, and save some money.

Post 1234... wooot. Not all pc are better than consoles. The 360 makes me feel like I wasted money on MY pc.

You should get a Pentium III Tualatin core (higher is better).

And get the highest PCI graphics card you can find (not PCI-E!). Or an AGP 4x/8x card, if your board supports at least AGP 4x.

in no way do i reccomend to run these type programs, they may harm you or your computer (hah lol)

Then buy a cheap media PC... what like $300? He could keep his current one!

Then buy a console for $300 or w/e.

BAM pc and game console for $700... Half the price of a GAMER pc.

An AM2 Sempron setup with 690G integrated graphics and a gig of ram setup can get him somewhere too, that'll be about $140
