Default Help repairing monitor

Samsung LN-S2738D 27" LCD HDTV Television - 1366x768, 720p Native, 8ms, 3000:1 Contrast Ratio, HDMI, PC Input, ATSC Tuner at

My little brother had this and was going to use it as a t.v but never used it once. He doesnt have the box or any of the cords so i bought a power cord and pc input cord and tryed to hook it up to my new computer. I have a 8800 gts 320mb if anyones curious. The screen when i plug it in and turn it the power button just blinks a little red dot every couple minutes. It never actually goes on . Any help? I dont know where he got it from or anything so i can't go to a place to get it fixed.

Hook it up to a your cable or a dvd player and see if it works. If it doesn't I would contact Samsung.
