Default help with new pc

Well my current pc doesnt work anymore and I dont feel like replacing the psu or any other parts so i think its time for a new pc anyways. Ive never built my own pc before from scratch though.

I want to reuse my cd-rw, my dvd rom, and my graphics card (geforce 6200). Ill by a 8800gts and a dvd burner later on. anyways think anyone can put together a decent build for me for like 1000 dollars? from tigerdirect.ca because I live in canada. any help would be great thx! oh and if it matters ill be using windows vista

i like these stores better :
Canada Computers - Your Neighbourhood Computer Store and Service Centre - PC Systems and Hardware Components, Notebooks, Electronics, and more.
NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection.
Buy Computer Parts, Computer Hardware, PC Parts at Best Online Computer Shop - DirectCanada

now would you overclocking? Also you live in the toronto area? Intel or AMD? I can make a decent build less than $1000.
