Default Help With New Build!

I was just wondering what everyone thinks about this build. I always like to make sure I get a second opinion on something like this before going through and getting started. I want this build to be powerful for all new games to run on high res. As a Game Design major in school I do a lot work with programs like Maya, UE3, Photoshop, etc... Any input on the build will be very much appreciated! Thanks!

I've got around 3500 saved up for a PC. So for the most part money is not a big deal.

Yea I was thinking of water cooling it, but would like to get ideas from other people. My main concern about the build is the ability to cool it. The case seemed nice with those huge fans, as well as got some good reviews.

this is way too much overkill, the price i mean, the increase of a core 965 on a 920 can be achieved by overclocking. changes as follows;
1)get core i7 920 w/ sunbeam core contact cooler
2)stick with the p6t if u want but id get a Tpowerx58 by biostar.
3) just get a single 4870x2, 4870x2 crossfire doesnt work all that well yet, in some games even offers worse performance then 1 4870x2.
4)150gb isnt enough space for what your doing and raptors are not even that much faster than the normal sata 7200rpm drives. look into wd640gb hdd/(s)
5)psu is way overkill, a corsair 750tx will do you fine.
6)ultimate? just get premium, the extra features are useless.

this should cost you alot less and probably even better performance then your other build as long as your overclock, which is fairly easy after reading up a bit.

I updated the list a little bit; but still would like some other opinions. Do you think the case would be well suited for this build, or does anyone have any other ideas?

dont waste the money on an EE... get a 920... it'll OC just as well on air as the 965 for 80% or so less... also, G.Skill makes a 6GB triple channel kit with 8-8-8-21 timings @ 1600Mhz (sorry i cant get you a link...newegg is *!@#ing with me)... also, i'd reccomend a Gigabyte board (either the DS4 or the UD5, depending on whether you want SLI or not)

Actually X58 boards support both SLI and Crossfire so it wouldn't matter if he got a DS4 or UD5. But that Biostar he picked out is a good motherboard.

The look of the case really doesn't matter much to me as long as it works well! Besides it's what's inside that counts! :laughing:
