Default help installin new mobo

i read guides and they sey i need a the windows xp cd to change my mobo. is that true? do i really need to spend 100 buks on a windows xp disc to cahnge my mobo?

yes, but no. wat os u runnin now? if u got thje disk for that os, then ur good, or if its a hp or dell or watever, and it came with a restore disk, that is useless
