Help gauging a new PC build

Hey guys, it's been awhile and I've been out of the loop since I've been deployed...but I'm coming back

I just watched the Battlefield 3 video and it looks great, I was wondering how much money I'd have to put into a PC to run it on high? Any parts certain parts to keep in mind? I've been hearing about the Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge and I'm pretty lost

My PC (specs below) will be able to run it on High. I have a Sandy Bridge CPU, overclocked.

From what I've read you should be able to play at the high settings with a $1000 PC +/- a couple hundred.

I paid $567 for my pc and I had the BF3 ALPHA and i was able to play it on Max settings with 40-60 fps. It's an alpha too so it will get better optimization. I have a phenom II x4 965 NOT overclocked with 8 gigs of gskill sniper 1333 and a sapphire hd 6670. In my experience the multiplayer part of the game usually lags more than singleplayer.
