Default Help with gaming pc

Ok sup im new here as u can see, so the thing is:

my bday is on february 16th, so the gift will be a computer, however i want this comp for gaming, the bad thing is that de budget is 1k so i was wondering if you can help me build a good gaming computer that will work for most games, preferably at mid settings, of course i'd love to play full settings, but the cash is the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86Ghz - $187.00
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 - $132.99
Memory: G.Skill 2x1GB DDR2-800 CL5 - $184.99
Video Card: eVGA GeForce 7900GS KO 256MB - $175.99
Hard Drive: Western Digital 320GB Sata 3.0Gb/s - $84.99
Optical Drive: LG 18X Super-Multi DVD+/-RW - $29.99
Power Supply: FSP Group 400W (36A on two +12V rails) - $36.99
Monitor: Hanns·G 19" (1440x900) Widescreen LCD - $179.99

Total: $1012.93

Don't thank me, thank Meithan. You can modify it if you want. All the parts and prices are from Newegg.com

What you can do; if you have nice parents , is Newegg has an awesome deal on a 19" Viewsonic LCD that I've pointed out, it's $149 after rebates, $189 before rebates. So if you can get that rebate quick, than you pay $149 for it, your parents can have the $40 back soon

OR...

Either way, CHEAP!
