7800GTX 512MB is more expensive and in most cases doesn't perform as good as 2 7800GT's.

i got 7800gtx512. its very expensive now but in the future when it gets cheaper, u can get another 1 for SLI (if more games support SLI) and 1x 7800GTX512 is already killer for any games out there to play. but only thing is...the price of 7800GTX512 is actually going up and up...till mb the beginning of next year...i got it for $699 but its now $749 everywhere..+ u have to wait till after or around xmas to get it....(if u r lucky) so i guess its up to u..
so that was my plan for getting this vcard...

One 7800gt is enough to do whatever you need right now. I just got one and it runs BF2 on highest settings flawlessly. Im so happy with it, except that the price dropped like $20 the day after i bought it

Yea the 7800GT is at a great price right now and it maxes out just about any game out there.
