If you are doing gaming then I would recommend looking into the HD4890, it overclocks like a champ, is fast than the gtx 280, is still pretty affordable and with crossfire it scales very well. IMO it is the best bang for buck performance car don the market right now.

The 4890 maybe faster than a GTX 260 but it isn't faster than a GTX 280.

Sorry, it was late, I meant the gtx260. Disregard that. The 4890 competes with the GTX275.
