IÂ’m building a computer for my friend but IÂ’m not super knowledgeable about it. My question is, what procedures am I going to have to go threw after putting all of this together? I put it together then what? Install windows? Drivers? Could someone please give me step by step procedures as to what I do after putting the computer together? Any comments on components are welcome. Thanks guys, it would be much appreciated.

******* why wont anyone make me a sweet pc, yea ya just slip in the os cd and bobs ya uncle, its pretty strait forward, do the drivers once the os is on there.....that'll be on the mobo cd all the ones ya need, sound, usb ect, its prtty self explanetry

oh yea, no prob

you americans suck thats only 2800$, in crappy uk that kinds system would be like 2000 pounds not 1500 like youd expect, its no fair.

say is there a uk new egg opening???, will it have us prices in stead of extortate uk + vat over prced prices?

might wanna take the ABIT AN8 32X mobo instead, from all the 3 SLI X16 mobos it seems to have the most positive reviews, 4gb is an overkill 2gb is more the enough and if you aint gonna overclock you can settle for a cheaper ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227210 141.99$ after rebate , if you do plan to overclock better change processor to optereon 175 or 165 they have bigger L2 cache and they overclock like a dream real smooth , why do you need 2 dvd burners? you can settle for one dvd burner and a dvd-rom , also samsung dvd burners arent the greatest i suggest youll take a nec 3550 instead , great case but if you want a more roomy case then get a full tower for bit more $ , excellent choice on the psu but you might wanna consider takin the fortron 600w instead

it have much higher amper ratings and it costs bit less too , great monitor , i suggest youll also buy a sound card i recommend this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102188 onboard sound is usally crappy

I like the samsung dvd burner because it has light scribe and its well priced. stock for stock is the cpu you mentioned as strong as the one I picked?

i think you should go with the DFI Lanparty UT SLi-DR, get dual channel ram, not 2X1gbs, if you want OCZ get the OCZ Gold Edition DUal Channel 2X1GB. And for Power Supply get the OCZ PowerStream or the Enermax LIberty, those are good, not sure bout the one u picked.

DDR2 says it uses 240pin and the mother board says it has a 184 pin. Does DDR2 fit in this motherboard? I allways wondered about that.

its about the 10th time im saying it , that mobo doesnt support the new SLI X16 (i dont mean the pci express 16x slot thats a diffrent thing) and as you alredy noticed hes taking two video cards.. , you misunderstood the ram part (well he didnt exactly say it right) its 2gb dual each one of em , notice the price
