I am a new builder, building for my first time a gaming rig, and just got the individual parts today. As i was looking over them, I noticed that they may not be compatible. I bought an AMD FX CPU, however certian parts, such as my power supply and my ram List the AMD Phenom II as the processor. My question is if they are still compatible, or if im screwed and have to get new parts?

I've noticed a lot of RAM lists certain CPUs as compatible, its a marketing gimmick.

In the simplest terms: everything needs to be compatible with the motherboard, as long as it is it will be compatible with each other.

You're fine. AMD probably got a box of donuts for the breakroom by those companies to list their stuff. There was probably a box over to intel too, but my ram isn't OFFICIALLY supported. everything works fine. :)
