What have you heard about the X2 3800+ Manchester??????help!

The best AMD is the AMD FX-60 very expensive a X2 3800+ will do you fine but I prefer the Toledo Core over Manchester.

opteron 165...best OC'n DC under 400. can hit 2.75GHz. get em while there hot. the price is RISING!

Dont mean to be a newb but its only 1.8 at start and will it support my ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe?

yea it will work with that mobo. it starts at 1.8, but they overclock very well. the overclocks range from 2.5-2.9ghz on air cooling. be it the lowest or highest overclock, it will outperform the 3800+ and it has twice the cache.

ty 003...take it from the guy who's got one! I'd get one myself but it won't fit my budget. Atleast not at 340 bucks it wont! I'll take a sc at $256 for the first round. How much did you get your 165 for 003? the price has shot up 14 bucks since i first came across them.

Well will the Opteron OC as well with my Asus as it will with a Lanparty Expert?

oh i'd say you're golden my man....check the newegg reviews of that mobo. someone is bound to have used an opty with it.

The Opty 165 is a great dual-core CPU for OC'ing. I'm a complete newb to OC'ing and I easily got this baby to 2.4GHz on air. This thing flies.
