I was in the process of overclocking my RAM, and as it was rebooting, it does not pass POST... the beep is extended for about 2 seconds, and i am figuring it is because of my RAM "overclocking." how can i undo this, if i can't even get to the BIOS??? is there a way to reset to the original BIOS?

please help!!

Either take out the CMOS battery, which is the circular battery located on the mobo. Or you can locate the CMOS jumpers and move from default 1-2 to 2-3 leave there for 10-30 seconds and move back to 1-2 and then turn on your machine.

If yhour doing the battery, leave it out for 10 minutes

Hey, to reset the BIO's tot he original settings, defaut...

Open your case, on the motherboard there will be a small flat batary inserted some place, it abou this big:

00000
00000
00000
00000

:)well take it out carefully for about 5-10 mins, then place it back in and voila:)

If you have more problems pm me.

Are you sure you were just overclocking your RAM? Did you take the other variables out of the equation?

perfect! im so glad this forum actually works... i thought i was gonna be stuck on the "family apple" for a week until ASUS replied to my "inquiry."

thanks a bunch
