okay here is what I got any suggestions comments would be great. I am just looking for a pc that once it is together it will be rock solid. Wan't everything to be pretty good, except audio, that doesn't really matter, onboard will do.

cpu = e6600
motherboard = ASUS P5B-E LGA 775
graphics card = evga 7900gs ko
Hd= Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250gb (Perpendicular Recording)
Power Supply = Thermaltake TR2 W0070RUC ATX 430W
Monitor = Hanns·G HW-191APB Black 19"
PC Case = Lian Li pc-65b
Ram = G.Skill 2gb ddr 800, 240pinn
keyboard/mouse = Microsoft 6000 B7T-00001 RF Ergonomics
dvd drive = Lite on 20x dvd burner, 12x dvd-ram + lightscribe

One last thing, if needed I ca downgrade to, and price is flexible.

well, let me suggest u some stuff. u should wait till the intel price drop, but i u want it right now, then get the e6320 instead, coz its a lot cheaper and its almost the same thing as a e6600, and u wont notice the difference.
Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 Conroe 1.86GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - Retail
get this psu. this is a lot better IMO. and its pretty powerfull for future upgrades.
Newegg.com - Rosewill RP550-2 ATX 2.01 550W Power Supply 115/230 V CSA, CB, TUV, FCC, UL - Retail
but if u wanna save some money, then go with the one u picked.
i dont know which ram ur getting, but i suggest this one
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
or if u wanna go a bit cheaper

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
save some money and get this mobo, its really good and overclocks well.
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 (rev. 1.3) LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
everything elses looks good i think. if u have the money, u should go with a 8800gts.
Newegg.com - Leadtek PX8800 GTS TDH 320MB Extreme GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail
so thats almost $720, and now u can add in the case, cooling stuff, cd drive. i think 280$ is enough for the rest of the parts.
oh, i missed the monitor part. sorry,
good luck

really cause that barracuda has perpendicular recording if you realize that, I don't really care if it overclocks, I actually want a motherboard with a nice simple design, and a fair amount of sata ports and ide. O and I need to whole pc to be quiet.

um yeah, I am into the motherboard, just looking for multiple opionions, um, getting that ram, any suggestions for a modular power supply. O is the 7900 loud, cause you have one

For $1,000 you can get:

Case - Antec 900 or Cooler Master Centurion 5(Cheaper)
Motherboard - Gigabyte DS4 650i SLI or MSI P6N Platinum or MSI P6N SLI-FI(Cheaper)
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6320
RAM - 2 x 1GB G. Skill DDR2-800 HZs
Graphics - Sapphire X1950XT or EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB (If you have the extra money)
Power Supply - Rosewill RP550 550W
Hard drive - Seagate 7200.10 320GB 16mb cache
Optical drive - Sony NEC Optiarc DVD Burner
Monitor - Hanns G 19"
Optional aftermarket CPU cooler, if overclocking - Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

ya the 7900 on stock is really loud, but doesnt bother me as much. in my system, when i turn the system ON then it makes a very very loud noise, but after like 15-20 seconds, i can barely hear it.
but u should get the 8800gts or the x1950xt if u have the money

His budget won't allow that, when he's trying to build a whole syste, including monitor and input devices for $1k. Plus he won't need it, because he's getting a 19" screen. The 320 can handle games very nicely on that.
