Default Help with $1000-$1200 intel gaming build?

Hello,

I'm planning on building my frist computer here in the upcoming months. I'll have a budget of approximately $100-$1200 and want it to be intel (probably i7). I'd like 6GB RAM, and at least 1GB on the video card.

I'm thinking this for the case: Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases what do you think?

HELP!

It's a pretty nice case. I'll try putting together something for you.

EDIT: What kind of gaming do you want to do? Also, what size monitor do you have? Or do you need one included?

EDIT2: Well, since you didn't answer, this is what I came up with tentatively.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3G1600LV6GK - Desktop Memory
Newegg.com - XFX HD-487A-ZHFC Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA CD/DVD Burner - CD / DVD Burners

Total comes to $1,037.91 after shipping.

Well if you were wondering about the case, I have it and personally I love it. It fits everything really nice, but if you are getting a aftermarket heat sink like my ,Core Contact, you have about an inch from the door panel. I would suggest ordering 2 more case fans and for more airflow. Wire management is kinda tricky but if you take the time it definitely pays off.

spend a little more and get this card. Comes with free game!
Newegg.com - ASUS ENGTX260 TOP/HTDI/896M GeForce GTX 260 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

edit: the only reason you wouldn't want to get this card over the 4870 is if you were playing at 2560x1600. Apart from that, it gets pwned

No, I don't need a monitor included, I was figuring that separately. And gaming like COD, GTA, CS:S, etc

Well the build Hikari put together (except for the gfx card) will do you great, you'll get no lag on those games at all.

Anything else you need clarification on for this build?
