Default hdd suggestions

well newegg no longer carries barracuda 7200.10 320gb Sata 3 gb hdd's. i was planning on getting one in a couple of days and just realized they don't carry them anymore. i was kind of hoping to stick to a 320gb, any other good brands to get?

You could check out their other sizes.

As far as brands go though, I only buy Seagate or Western Digital. Though I think there are other good brands out there too... these are my preference.

You could also try buying from another vendor.

Samsung 320, Hitachi 1TB, WD 750GB/1B are all good drives.

the hitachi 1tb is slower than WD 750gb remember

they still have a few 7200.10
Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

and they may not have the 7200.10 version of the 320gb but they do in fact have the 320gb ES 16mb cache, which is the same but just is a higher quality
drive with a higher quality disc reader
Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda ES ST3320620NS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

well that 750gb is a little out of my budget.

im leaning more towards the barracuda 7200.10 500gb for $120. should suit me pretty good.
