Default HD3850 256mb

Would this card be enough to run games suchas ut3/coh/oblivion/supreme commander on a 17" monitor? Doesn't have to be full everything, can live with medium settings.

Looking for something decent to last me till the 9series in feb.

Yup. Should to quite nicely...of course the 512mb is preferable though.

tell us your other specs please.

PM'd you about the X1550.

My X1950PRO could do all that with ease and would be a perfect stopgap card.
