bit-tech.net | Intel's Core 2 Duo processors - The L2 cache argument - 2MB vs 4MB
from what i'm seeing the extra cache hardly makes any difference, and the FSB of the e6550 makes hardly any difference at all. They both can clock up to 3ghz so whats the advantage with higher model core 2 duos if they can all clock beyond 3ghz?

i dunno guess it really depends what you do.. i'm a graphic designer... and use multiple applications pretty often... i had the fx62 have its hickups on me.. so a e4400 wouldnt do me too well

i like to have no hickups, or slowdowns... time is money

if i wanted to do any upgrading though i would need to get a new mobo, so while the cpu is still worth something i figure i can sell my rig and get the stuff i would want anyway, nice gpu + ram, i need to shell out for a mobo, so might as well get a nicer cpu while im at it.
