Default Hardware Shopping, New Harddrives and Motherboards

I am currently looking at hardware. I need some new hard drives, and maybe a new motherboard. The reason is, I am stuck at 5 hard drives limit because of my motherboard doesn't support more than 5. I think the stander support for hard drive within motherboards is about 6 hard drives now. Maybe, I need to look into server motherboards? i wanted multiple hard drives. I was wondering if you have heard of any TB single hard drives are out on the market yet? and if so, where at? and Any hard drives or motherboards you suggest as a good buy? I kinda wanna stay away from raids, but i've been wondering about them, and kinda thought i would try it on a smaller amount of space for testing reason. But it sounds almost silly to have TBs in your computer and no raid going on. If you didn't catch this, I have an server and looking to update it.

Thank for your time,
Yaminohaka

19 people now i don't know. Im kinda scared by buying a whole TB for my system. I do have a Sata 750gbs in it now, and thats the biggest hard drive. I had no problems with it so far, but $350 is a lot of money to drop on a single hard drive, but even though I drop that much on the 750gbs hard drive when it came out. so who knows, but I would like to see more reviews first.

Any good brands that people like over the other hard drive? Any good motherboards with 8 to 10 sata slots, and do they support that many hard drives. As i said before, my mother board only support 5 hard drives
