Default Hardware Review Rant

So my search continues for the hardware I need for my next build. My problem is that I tend to focus on negative reviews on Newegg and elsewwere. Mobo's especially get a bad rap there. My question is, are the bad review from ppl who just like to whine? Are the majority very happy and don't post a review? I am just looking for a solid performing AMD mobo without all the bells and whistles That can run the latest Phenom II's and fastest RAM. I do not plan to OC yet.

Next Rant is cases. I don't need all the lights, alien head designs etc, I just need a roomy case with good ventilation and aluminum construction that doesn't sound like a jet engine. No top mounted USB/esata please.

I have my HD, Video and PS figured out. I just need a little advice on what would be a good option for proc cooling. Too many to choose from and another candidate for newegg bashing.

I wanna get this build going.

I never put much weight upon newegg reviews.

As for cases, cheap and great:
Newegg.com - Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

more expensive and great:
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN1-GP Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

As for your mb I am an intel guy so I will not recommend a board although ddr3 is somewhat wasted with a PII.

cooler:
cheap and great:
Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler W/TX-2 - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

expensive and awesome:
Petra's Tech Shop
need 1 or 2 120mm fans of your choice.

ddr3 prices are about the same as ddr2, so going ddr3 is definitely worth it as it leaves you open for future upgrades (you can take it to a future build).

I'm finding DDR3 boards for AM2+ and the DDR3 itself to be cheaper than DDR2, so even though it's wasted a bit, it's faster and more future-proof.

The Majority of the Reviews posted on NewEgg are from users with no idea what there doing. Just because someone says there an Experienced Users doesn't make it true.

to save an extra $10 over the antec 300 take a look at the 200 Almost the exact same case and has the same fan setup. I got the 200 and a friend has the 300 (I built his system for him) and they are almost the same case with a different front plate.

That thing looks heavy! how do you keep it from cracking the mobo in half?

OK, it looks like the 200, maybe the 300. Should I toss the fans and get better ones or are they quiet enough?

You might want to order few, the only one that comes with all the fans is the led's in the fans, the non led cases comes with a 140mm in the top and a 120 in the rear, I have 4 120mm and the 140mmin the top and keep them on low speed and it is actually very quiet and keeps things pretty cool.
