the only 4870 worth getting is the XFX one, same goes with the 4850's. i mainly dont like the manufactures of ati, that's my reason for not liking them, also i had 2 x1900xtx's die on me from sapphire. go with the core 216 if possible.

I loved my HIS ati card. Though I think I'm going to RMA my Sapphire 4870 due to a fan problem, but it doesn't appear to be at all common.

But yeah get a 4870 or gtx260 core216. Their very similar in performance.

Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1255-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards get that card instead, will out perform the 512mb for less monies.

Intel is just faster for gaming at the moment. Larger caches and FSBs.
AMDs are better at raw processing, multitasking, and I guess encoding and stuff too.
I think their about the same in winrar but intel is faster in video/audio encoding. I know i7 is much faster than Phenom 2 in that regards.

Soo, if I have two SATA drives, do I need to have raid to use them at the same time, or am I not understanding raid?
