4870 and e7300 = Faster/more powerful

Although i really should not compare the clock vs. clock of amd and intel, but it is pretty clear.

Are you saying you have a micro atx mobo? If shouldn't matter as long as the ports are correct and the parts physically fit.

Intel is just faster for gaming at the moment. Larger caches and FSBs.
AMDs are better at raw processing, multitasking, and I guess encoding and stuff too.

well, i've been on new egg trying to figure out a nice setup to fit a med-high end gaming pc for the time being in my mATX case that I have within around $750 Canadian dollars, i'm finding it difficult to know what will fit on the board without obstructing anything and such.

What everyone else has said, E7300 + 4870. The old Phenoms suck hardcore, and that video card rocks.
