Default Is this hard drive worth it?

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...8&sku=THD-250A

It seems too good for the price tag...

Is there a big difference between ATA-100 and ATA-150?

Well besides the huge size of PATA cables SATA is better because it offers 150-300GB/s transfer rates. Also alot of SATA150/3G drives have NQC which speeds up the drive even more.

I wouldn't get it. SATA drives aren't that much more expensive and they're alot better.

After "Mail-in-Rebate" that's an excellent price for a Ultra ATA 100 HDD.
$69.99... oh yeah... for a 250GIG Seagate.

The problem is waiting 12 freakin' weeks to get your $60.00 back.

Actually, if you bought that HDD and then bought a HDD external encloser... You could have yourself a 250GIG USB extermal HDD for $100.00... Not to bad... perfect for notebooks...

ENCLOSER: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...100&CatId=1204

$100.00 after you get your $60 rebate back.
That's probably the best price you'll get now for an external HDD.

It's not for a notebook though. I doubt an external HDD would be good for gaming... Unless there is something I'm missing?
