Hard Drive and Case questions

Question 1:
Is there any advantage to having, let's say, 2 250GB HD over 1 500GB HD? What would be the use for having more than 1 HD?

Question 2:
How can you tell if a case has good airflow? The one I'm looking at is this one: Newegg.com - APEVIA X-CRUISER-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

1. two hds decreases the chances of dying and losing data over one hd.
2. that case doesnt have a front fan, that could be a problem

2 disks are always better than 1. Unless your case is too small. I have 6 disks in my case.
80+80 in RAID0 (OS + apps + games)
320 + 320 in RAID1 (docs/backups)
320 + 300 mirrored (more docs and backups)

I also have a Maxtor 160GB external disk, which is currently on its way to Seagate for RMA.

those guys are right about the hdd. but with the coolin in your case put a 12cm fan at the front and replace the back one with a 12cm too the top 8cm is ok then u should be fine.

Yes that Xion is actually a pretty good choice. Xion make solid cases for the money and they aren't ugly either which is always a plus heh.
