3 months ago if you told me money was no option I'd have said get a GTX480. Now, even if money was a variable, I'd say get a 480. Recent driver improvements mean that the 480 has increased its performance gain over the 5870 to ~30% from ~16% originally.

Keep in mind that the GTX480 reaches rediculous temperatures. expect 90-98 degrees celcius under load. also, i would wait for the HD6xxx due Q2 next year. the HD6870 will dillever tesselation and overall performance double the GTX480 and will still keep roughly the same price.

no, expect 90-93C under full load. Same as the GTX 285 and 295.
