Occasionally, not often. And not by much when it does.
The vast majority of the time the 5870 is significantly ahead. Plus it has a significantly lower power consumption.

I've seen a couple of people's real world benches with the 470 that show some good scaling when overclocked, though.

what about the 5670? i hear its right up there with the 9800 gtx+ but didnt see it on the list.

For those interested i just ran 3DMark Vantage with my new 470. Not sure if i did it right though, am i supposed to alter any settings in Nvidia Control panel and stuff ?

It doesn't do to great, ORB - World of Performance Not that bad though.

the CPU score actually looks higher than normal.
I think it's probably using the GPU to process the CPU tests (which Futuremark actually doesn't want to allow)
