when are the new nvidia gpu's due to release anyway? (thinking about waiting to buy a 5970 in January until the inevitable price drop, i ahve no idea though when the release is)

I have heard later than that. January is pretty optimistic. Nvidia is on A2 silicon right now. Indicators are that fermi will be out at the end of Q1.

just wondering why 4890 is higher than 5770? though 5770 memory speed is 1Mhz higher than 4890 and the core clock is just the same O_o..

Don't look at the specs of it.

It's completely incorrect to do so based on those specs as architectures make them work better/worse. The HD 5770 is about the same as the HD 4870, any place it doesn't tie in, it loses to it, but that's supposed to get better with better drivers.

I believe the 4890 has a 256 bit memory bus, whereas the 5770 has a 128bit.

I was looking at this list and I actually realized that the GeForce GT 220 isn't on this list. Is it because it's a budget part? Anyway, either I missed it on the list or it was overlooked. :P
