It's probably because their not in demand anymore. If they were to drop the price, they'd lose a lot of money, because of the price they initially paid for them.

ah...i remember something about it used too much power power.

I also remember, i think nosboost who got..cant remember which 2900 and flashed it and it became comparable to the costly one...

i believe it was pro to xt. and yeh if you sli'd 2 of the 2900xt's you had to have like a 1.3kw psu to run it.... lol.

also why haven't they moved to dual hd3870 x2 or dual hd3870's!!

It's probably because the drivers haven't fully matured yet, for quad crossfire of the X2s.
