Go with this setup:

HIPER 580W PSU- $100

7900GS until DX10- $165 after rebate

Another 1GB stick of ram- $88

Total- $353 (don't waste your money until DX10 comes out; going with 2GB of ram is a must)

Doesn't matter. The extra ram is very helpful in some games and photo /video editing, etc.

Persianx has a good deal but you won't be able to buy them... since you live in the UK...

Your going to have to make the final... it's your money, not ours. are you wanting to "get by" until the 8800's? or are you going to hold off for a while?

newer games are going to want 2GB ram as "recommended" sooner than later... so I kinda agree with him. maybe you can find something about the same just in UK sites...

ok this is what im gonna do if im allowed.....

get the gigabyte 7900gt + recommend psu now

then at xmas get fsx and 1gb ram

sound good??

ok one more question....will this graphics card run media centre edition cos acording to my dad it needs cetain hardware??
