Default graphics card and chipset question

Ok so I have a dfi ultra-d with and nforce 4 ulra chipset and I was thinking about getting the ati card. Would there be any performance decrease or compatibility problems due to the fact that i have an nforce 4 chipset?

I think you might be confusing nForce 4 with the older nForce 3 - which were known to have issues in conjunction with various video cards I believe.

get an nvidia card, this gen of nvidia cards are much better then this gen of ATI Cards. if your on a budget, go for a 6800GT. but if money is no worry, go with the 7800GTX. it outperforms almost every ATI card

any performance decrease would be caused by your choice to get an ATI
