I don't advise the 7800GTX 512 because it has a short "life" and it's rediculously priced and you'd be even lucky to find one.
Bad price performance ratio but since when did it die early.

I have the X850 XT PE 256MB, its definetely a good card. Yes it has 8 more pixel pipelines.

I'm really leaning on the X850 XT PE 256 right now just because: 1) its a little cheaper 2) Some other people have it and are happy with it. If you know of anywhere i could get it cheaper than $245 please tell me.You guys have been alot of help thanx.

Yea, with the X1800 series out, the X850XT PE can be found for just above $300, which is great. It doesn't have SM3 though :-\

Well now i gotta another question about a Harddrive. Which one?
.....Looking for something close or under $125 can i get a pretty descent ono or two for that and which brand is the best in your opinions?

I'm 100% sure I read that the 7800GTX 512 dies really early compared to the 256 version. I read this a month or two ago, if I find the article I'll post it.

If you're wanting two, look at the Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST380817AS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148040

For one, look at the Western Digital Caviar RE WD2500SD 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144179

Both have five year warranties.

will it help alot having the 8 MB cache in the 250GB instead of the 2 MB in the 120 GB?

Yes. The smaller cache will slow your computer down, as it will have to wait longer on your hard drive.
