Not sure what you're talking about here.

The 780ti can be had for around 400 (before they are all gone) and is better than a 970.

The 980 is over 500 and is better than the 970.

If you're referring to the 290x, they can be had as cheap as 330 bucks on Newegg. The are about on par depending on the game in question.

but yeah you are right there can be cheaper ones. but i do want the 970 or a 780 ti if its cheaper on black friday.

That's a 780. Both the 780 and 780ti are EOL so there is no more stock being made so certain prices will soar.

500 dollar 780ti.

like i said you are right but now that i know that i dont want to buy the 780's anymore because i really want to get sli eventually.

Aim for a high end single GPU, not SLI.
