If he buys the 7300Gt then he should be set. The old 7300LE and GS were terrible, after being smashed by the x1300pro for about the same price range Nvidia had to release a better card around that price range. The GT is nothing like its LE and GS friends. It has much higher clock speeds with 4 more pixel pipelines. As well as a 128bit memory interface instead of the ugly 64bit the other had.

The 7300GTS is an excellent card for its price range so just let him get it becuase its what i would suggest online probably anyway for his price range.
