Im looking to max out games like Crysis, Bioshock, and future proof for games like Starcraft 2 and others.

I was wondering which is better for Dual

Nvidia SLI

or

ATI Crossfire

cards I have looked at

SLI 2 Nvidia 9600gt
SLI 2 Nvidia 8800GTS g92
1 Nvidia 9800GX2 ( I could possibly get 2 of these)

only ATI card I have looked at is the 3870x2..in crossfire

havent kept up with ATI lately

give me some opinions

nahh..I meant running the 9800GX2 in Quad SLI

the cpu in my computer is going to be a q6700 quad core..and also have

Asus P5N-T Deluxe NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI Intel Quad Core Ready MB

780i and 750i boards seem to have a large headache to go with it

plus Dual 9800gx2 in Quad-SLI performance sucks for the price (ask Veedubfreak)

You won't need to crossfire/sli unless you are using a screen bigger than 24".

I would suggest a 8800gts for a single card or waiting for the new series to come out for best performance.

Also quad sli = pointless.

If you really need SLI or crossfire, go with a pair of 9600GT's if you are money minded and want a good SLI config for around $250 or less. Or if you have the money and want top SLI performance available as of right now, get a pair of 8800GTS 512mb for around $450 depending on which cards/deals you can get.
