a cd/dvd drive...yes. You'll need it to install windows and whatever else you have.

Most drives are pretty similar though, and cheap too. If you have an extra 300 bucks left over, there's a good drive kickin' around some places that play blu-ray and HD-dvd (no burning though), just in case you were interested, can't remember the brand.

Also, when you say "explanations", does that mean if I say q6600, you don't know what I'm talking about (for example), because if you aren't sure about what all these parts are, I can give you a quick run down (or someone else). I have found this forum to be very helpful.

yea they have the same amperage on the 12V, 54 i believe it is, and the 520hx is quieter

i need or would like a semi explanation of what everything does. I'm not computer savy...but not technically challenged. Just hardware challenged. Also is there a thread that tells me how to actually build a computer?
