Well - if you want to game you will probably have to get a new Video card (as you said) . However, most of these pre-made systems have terrible PSU's- like a poorly made 350 watt, which will not safely run a good dedicated graphics card- so you will have to buy and install both a new GPU and PSU to increase the systems gaming abilities. As it is sold you will have to play on low settings- which maybe all you want. Here is a link for info on the video card: AMD Radeon HD 6530D - Games 6530D

i think it would be a bad idea to get this for gaming. that isnt a graphics card, it is integrated graphics. the psu is not made for a graphics card upgrade. there are an extra 2 cores on the cpu that youll never use.

what is your budget?

Yes you are much better off building yourself!!! Do you already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse etc. DO you need a new OS or do you have a win7 64 bit already? For $600 it will be tight.

600 will be tight no matter what but especially on a budget building is your best bet, it's not hard either.
