Good Laptops?

Looking for a prebuilt laptop with the following characteristics:

Processor > 2.4 GHz (Intel) or > 1.8 (AMD)
Hard Drive : about 80 GBs
DVD/CD Burner
Onboard Wireless 802.11
Windows XP

Not a gaming machine, mostly will be used for watching movies/browsing. I do want it to run fast though. Can anyone give me some links for good systems? Thanks

HP > Sony > Dell

Ive heard way too much about Dell using HW that doesnt pass first inspection (hence why they have the best tech support, bc they have to) and ive had alot of problems with dells and friends dells.
Sony laptops are good, but if youve got a higher price range, HP has some nice ones IMO. atleast check em out.

I have heard bad things about the durability of HP laptops. I would go for a Toshiba or an IBM Thinkpad.

I would go HP. Toshiba's have flimsy keys on their keyboards, snap off real easily.

I'm loving my new Dell 9300. Very good quality. It's only got 1.73 GHz Pentium M processor and 1 GB of DDR2 RAM @ 533 MHz. It's really quick and plays games pretty well.

The Pentium M is the way to go if you want performance and maximum battery life. Out of a 6 cell battery, I can get 4 hours under mostly idle conditions. I can get 2-3 hrs of mild work and no music. 1-2 hrs of heavy work (or gaming) and music.
