The problem is that my mid-tower case is a bit small for the large heat sinks.
I can't fit a heatsink that's over 14.5cm in height (I measured).

With the cable-hiding panel and the standoffs under the mobo, it gets me to about 14.5.

How well will the watercooled ones with the pump on the cpu fit?

hmm...

the H50 is basically designed for people who have small cases but want big bulky high performance air cooler results in a small package... i gaurentee the H50 or H70 will fit in your case... id say go with the H50 because its cheaper than the H70 and the H70 will only offer a few degreese lower temps... but if you get a H50 you HAVE to get a second fan on it for a push pull.

That Zalman will do you good. It is solid copper and is 125mm tall. I had an older version of it in my old setup and it cooled like a champ.
