those prices are quite high, you could shave it down to around 1200 or 1300 without rebates...

anyways, remember that when you buy a pc... you get a warranty and tech support unlike customs... you have to troubleshoot yourself

You could build a "better" machine for less, but better is subjective to your needs. That precise system for that price is actually quite a good deal.

yes the machine is a good deal but you can save in some areas when self building and get better quality parts. I am not telling you to self-build here as there would be very little financial reward merely that your computer will be more reliable if self-built
