Default Good card for $120 ?

my friend wants to buy a card that is decent, something he can just play newer games with, settings dont have to be in full but he wants the best card for $120, im not pro on these things so i told him i was going to ask, tell me what you guys think, Thanks.

The 4830 beats the 9800gt in every game except oblivion so folding is the only reason to go with the 9800gt/8800gt.

wtf 4830 is there with an 8800gt??? no friggin way!!! i want benchies or it didnt happen

and an ATI card.. WON'T play crysis on high with any acceptable framerates...
